PEGIS ── 24 SEPTEMBER 2026
The Staged Roadmap
From e-books to collected editions, audio and the digital library
段階的ロードマップ構想
The Plan
First, finish everything that can go out as e-books. After that, move the effort stage by stage: to the ten thousand manuscripts, to paper collected editions series by series, and to audio. The destination is 11 December 2042, when the digital library opens and all ten thousand books appear at once, as text and as audio. This plan puts the other three — the New Ten-Thousand-Volume Plan, the Digital Library Plan and the AI Autonomous Operations System — into the order in which they will happen.
The Premise — Kindle's New Rule
From 21 September 2026, KDP allows two new titles per format per week. The weekly allowance resets every Sunday at 00:00 UTC. Japanese and English editions both count as e-books. It has been reported that the old help-page invitation to ask for an exception, for authors who create many titles, disappeared at the same time.

Five Stages

When It Is Ready — Three Slower Paces
As of 24 September 2026, 282 books exist in Japanese and English together, 121 are published, and about 160 are bound and waiting to be submitted. Over the last three weeks the pace has been about 43 books a week. Taking that as the base, three plans slow it to three quarters, a half and a quarter.

Paper Collected Editions
Not sets of five separate titles, but a collected edition for each series, with each four-part work (about 400,000 Japanese characters) in two volumes. The paperback allowance is a separate two a week, so there is no shortage of slots. Hardcovers cannot be published through the Japanese KDP, so the paper editions are paperbacks.
A Library to Listen To
No ordinary reader can read ten thousand books by eye. The ten thousand include both Japanese and English, so one listener hears one language: about five thousand books, some 27,500 hours at normal speed. At double speed, two hours a day, that takes about nineteen years; at triple speed, about thirteen. By ear, they fit within a lifetime.

The main stores do not yet offer synthetic narration in Japanese. So the library makes and delivers its own audio. When a manuscript is finished, the text is divided into chapters and paragraphs, a reading dictionary is applied, a synthetic voice reads it, the volume is levelled, chapter markers are added, and the result goes into the library. This flow becomes one stage of the AI Autonomous Operations System. PEGIS works are full of coined words and proper names, so the reading dictionary is the heart of the quality. The voice is made a little slow so that it stays clear at double speed, and playback can be set from 1x to 3x. Even fifty thousand hours of audio need only about 1.5 terabytes.
Some English editions can also go out through the stores' synthetic-voice routes (an invitation to Kindle's Virtual Voice, and Google Play's auto-narration). For selected works, an audio edition layered with the music of the Kotodama Orchestral Symphony will be made.
11 December 2042
The digital library opens, and all ten thousand books appear at once, as text and as audio. Each book is a fragment of the stage set of the 2042 installation, Dai-Tenji-Kai. Ten thousand is not a sales figure but a presence.
